The prolab market requires the ability to manage very
large numbers of images and build high quality product
from those images effectively and efficiently. dScope
allows the lab to develop specialised and personalised
image presentations, and then apply those presentations
to thousands of images in a single step. Any number
of these presentation templates can be created and saved
ready for use when required. Presentations can be developed
specifically for different customers, different cameras,
different markets or simply to brand images.
dScope also has support for multiple types of proof
and contact sheets with a large range of design options
that will meet the needs of almost any customer. Proof
and contact sheets can be designed and then applied
to very large numbers of images. dScope will automatically
create the required number of pages to include all the
images with the design options selected. The proof sheet
options include image size and positioning, background
colours and images, page and image titles, and the option
of placing your own company branding on every page.
dScope Online can be used to create a bureau service
for customers wishing to place their images onto the
web for sale. With dScope Online the prolab can offer
customers a full turnkey solution. The images can be
placed on the web, orders taken, product printed and
distributed without any direct action necessary on behalf
of the photographer. As well as offering the photographer
a further way of deriving income from their images,
the prolab can offer them an almost effort free solution.
The dScope Home Kiosk component has proved popular
with prolabs as it creates an easy method for their
customers to deliver orders to the lab without leaving
their home computer. Its easy, intuitive interface and
high degree of functionality means that the operator
can give copies of the home kiosk to a very large number
of customers without creating a management and training
workload. These home kiosks then allow customers to
use the functionality in the kiosk to adjust and prepare
their images, or they can use third party software to
prepare the images and simply use the kiosk to deliver
those orders to the prolab for printing.
