All
components of dScope and the dScope Kiosk are available
for both purchase and hire. In an attempt to make it
as easy as possible for operators to get what they need
at the cheapest prices, all the dScope modules can be
purchased or hired separately. You only need to pay
for the functionality you need. There are some modules
that cannot be used without first having other modules.
These prerequisites occur because some modules use the
functionality contained within other modules. These
prerequisites are indicated in the table below which
also indicates the purchase and rental costs of each
module.
NOTE
: None of the prices on this page include GST, VAT or
other goods and/or services taxes that may be applicable.

dScope Home Kiosk:
Implementation
of the dScope home kiosk involves the creation of a
version of the system specific to the operator, setting
up the FTP server, installation of the kiosk manager
and providing training. After implementation and initial
training there is an annual fee that covers the ongoing
licensing, support and upgrades. As with all dScope
software, the application can be purchased or rented.
Purchase
Options:
Initial Setup, Implementation and Training usually costs
approximately A$7,000, US$5,200, €3,500.
This covers the creation of the specific operater version,
initial setup and training. This does not cover costs
for travel and accommodation where that is necessary
to provide installation and training services.
Where
the output from the kiosk is to include PDF files, the
PDF converter module is required. The purchase price
for this module is $A1,000, US$650, €500.
The
annual support fee is A$2,500, US$1,500, €1,250
Rental
Options:
Initial Setup, Implementation and Training usually costs
approximately A$3,000, US$2,000, €1,500.
This covers the creation of the specific operater version,
initial setup and training. This does not cover costs
for travel and accommodation where that is necessary
to provide installation and training services.
Where
the output from the kiosk is to include PDF files, the
PDF converter module is required. The initial costing
will increase by $A1,000, US$650, €500
to cover this extra module.
A
monthly fee of $300, US$200, €150
is then charged to cover ongoing licences and support.
The minimum rental period is initially 24 months, with
12 month extensions after the initial period is completed.
Rental customers can choose to purchase at any time.
When this occurs, half of the last twelve month’s
rental payments are deducted from purchase price.
dScope Online Pricing
dScope
Online pricing is in two parts, the website and the
dScope Web Module.
The
Website component includes a copy of the website ready
to install on your own hosting service, and the services
of a graphic designer to help you create a look and
feel that matches your business and your target customer
base. The price of the standard website package is approximately:

Extra
services can be added to your solution with some extra
costs. These include online credit card payment, external
payment links (e.g. PayPal, PayMate), extra graphic
design work and other customisations.
The
dScope Web Module can be purchased as a part of dScope.
It requires the dScope Core Module to already be implemented.

is also a stand alone version of the dScope Web Module
available for customers who are not using other components
of dScope.
Implementation
And Support
Most
operators do not need any on site help to implement
most basic modules of dScope or the dScope Kiosk.
Operators
who implement the major workflow modules of dScope (Schools
and Groups, Kindergarten, Events or Teams) should allow
for some implementation and training costs. This includes
software installation and basic training of the photographers
and the production people who will be using the system.
In general, customers should allow around A$2,000, or
US$1,600 or €1,300
plus any travel costs to cover initial installation
and training costs.
Operators
installing the dScope Home Kiosk system should allow
for some installation costs and for time to train some
staff members in the use of the kiosk and the kiosk
manager. In general, customers should allow around A$1,000,
or US$800 or €650
plus any travel costs to cover initial installation
and training costs.
Support
On
purchasing any modules of dScope or the dScope Kiosk,
customers will be given a voucher for a number of free
support calls in order to help get the system setup
and to begin understanding how the system operates.
After those free support calls have been used, they
will be liable for support costs as follows
Cost
per call : A$25, US$20, €20.
Cost
per hour or part thereof for support work : A$70, US$60,
€50.
Any
travel time is chargeable and any travel costs will
also be charged to the customer.
