The dScope system was created through consultation
with a wide range of people to assure that it meets
the needs of many types of photographers and service
providers.
All the modules have been built as separate entities
which means that each business can select to purchase
only those modules which will clearly provide them with
benefits. Further, the pricing structure has been set
up so that each module can be either purchased or hired
so the business can choose the purchase method that
best suits their financial strategy.
To understand the dScope modules and how they might
work within your business, you can select the business
type below that most closely matches your own operation,
or select a particular module to see detailed information
about that module.
| School

school environment either for ID cards or for production
of individual and class images for sale to students

environment, either on a prepaid package basis,
or on consignment. |
| Event

or formal events such as school formals, debutante
balls, sporting functions or any other gathering. |
| Sports

sports events. Can be individual or team images,
or combinations of the two. |
| Wedding/Portrait

Formal photography of individuals or small groups
on a contractual basis. The images may be captured
on site or in a controlled studio environment. |
| Retail
Mini Lab |
Retailers providing imaging services to professional
photographers and the general public. |
| Pro Lab |
Wholesalers and retailers focusing on the provision
of services to professional photographers and large
volume imaging. |
| Core Module |
The Core module contains all the basic image management
and modification tools as well as being the central
component of the whole dScope Imaging suite. The
Core module is a pre-requisite for every dScope
Imaging implementation. This module contains all
the basic requirements for mini labs and other service
providers, as well as image management capabilities
for wedding and portrait photographers. |
| Combifit
Module |
The Combifit module allows users to create new
images by dragging and dropping multiple images
onto a page. The images can be sized, positioned,
overlaid and cropped. There are a series of extra
tools such as backgrounds, drop shadows, rotation
and borders. The arrangement of the images can be
saved as a template and reused many times. The module
is used by labs to create special outputs for customers,
and by wedding and portrait photographers to create
album pages and album templates. |
| Package
Module |
The Package module allow you to create package
products and package templates. The packages can
have up to twenty image boxes per page and the page
can have a background image assigned to allow special
branding or designs to be included. Image boxes
can also have associated Transforms so that any
image placed in that box will be modified in a particular
way. This allows a single package page to contain
many versions of the same image. |
| Schools
and Groups Module |
The Schools and Groups module provides a full
set of functionality for both large and small scale
school photography operations. All stages of the
process are covered including preparing for the
shoot, importing any available customer data, capturing
the images straight to a PC or from card, creating
packaged products, creating specialised presentations,
building class images with automatically generated
name lists, building both standard and rotating
composites, then submitting the images to a printer
with automatically collated output. With this fully
implemented solution and good process management,
it is now possible to deliver the product to your
customers within 1 to 2 days of the shoot. |
| Kindergarten
Module |
The Kindergarten module supports shooting in what
is commonly a very unstructured environment. The
module allows you to shoot to card or PC on site
and save the images by rooms, years or any other
grouping. Group shots can be imported into the system
and the children can be selected out of the group
shots with the system automatically linking the
child to that group shot. You can then collect and
sort the images, grouping all the images for each
child. The system then supports the production of
pre-paid packages or proof sheets for 'on consignment'
ordering. |
| Events
Module |
The Events module is specifically for capturing
images at all kinds of functions and events. The
system allows you to capture a series of images
for a particular customer along with all the details
of the customer. The images can then be modified
and prepared for sale. You can create both packages
and presentations based on those images. The final
product can be printed for display, saved to file
for display on screen, or distributed by Email along
with an order form. The module is extensively used
for Santa photos, debutante balls, school formals,
dance academies, amateur theatre and any other appropriate
function. |
| Teams
Module |
The teams module is designed for photographers
specialising in capturing sports teams. The module
allows you to capture team images and easily create
group shots with specific formatting and automatically
generated name lists. |
| Shoot
Manager |
The Shoot Manager is a new module in the final
stages of development. It is a customer management
and sales support solution for organisations dealing
with schools, kindergartens, sports associations
etc. The module allows you to keep records of the
customer and all your interactions with that customer.
You can also store all the information associated
with shoots for that customer and analyse the financial
return gained from those shoots. |
| Orders
Module |
The Orders module is used to prepare a set of
images for printing and to send those images to
an output device. You can order multiple copies
of particular images and choose which devices you
want to send those images too (assuming you have
the appropriate connection to those devices). |
| Connectors
Module |
The Connector modules provide automated connectivity
to a number of commonly used print devices. The
connectors allow you to submit large and complex
orders to a particular print device in a single
step. Connectors have been developed for the AGFA
range of dLabs (via dWorkflow), Konica Minolta labs
(R2/R3), Fuji Frontier labs (via C8), Copal Dye
Sub printers, and any devise that has a functional
Windows interface. A connectors is currently in
development for Noritsu labs. For any devices that
do not have a connector, the system is capable of
submitting the orders via a hot folder. New connectors
are developed when customers present with a need
to connect to a device not already covered. |
| Other
Modules |
There are a number of other modules within the
dScope suite that support users and their business
needs. These include Staff and Roster management,
support for managing or hiring out facilities and
equipment, basic financial packages, customer management,
image libraries, web submission etc. You can contact
us if you have any requirement not already covered
within the dScope module suite, and we will look
to build a solution to meet your specific needs.
